Glenn Keith McIntyre, 58, passed away Wednesday, October 22, 2014 at Memorial University Medical Center. He was born in Savannah, son of Otis W. and Elizabeth Dyches McIntyre. He was a 1974 graduate of Johnson High School and attended Armstrong State College. Mr. McIntyre moved to Rincon in 1997 and was a financial advisor with Wells Fargo Advisors. He was a member of Centerpoint Community Church in Springfield and he was an avid sports enthusiast. He loved the boat, fishing, and being on the water. He loved being a part of the St. Vincent's Academy Volleyball team and proudly served as their Libero Tracker. His proudest accomplishment in life was his three girls. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister-in-law, Jennifer McIntyre.
Surviving are his wife, Margaret Macatee McIntyre of Rincon; children, Lindsey McIntyre of Savannah; Abbey and McKenzie McIntyre of Rincon; sisters, Judy McIntyre of Thunderbolt; Jeanne (Clif) of Rincon; brother, Michael McIntyre of Guyton and many nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m., Sunday, October 26, 2014 at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.
The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, October 27, 2014 in the Hodgson Chapel of Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors with Pastor Mose Toole officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
